Other Site Characteristics

Lembo di ontaneta con risorgive sita sulla sinistra del Fiume Brenta in prossimità della frazione di Belvedere sul fondovalle della Bassa Valsugana. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE, in particolare: frammenti di Magnocaricion Caricetum elatae (2-3%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Esempio relitto di ontaneta di fondovalle. Si tratta di un biotopo di vitale importanza per la riproduzione di molte specie di anfibi e rettili. Il sito è inoltre di rilevante importanza per la nidificazione, la sosta e/o lo svernamento di specie di uccelli protette o in forte regresso, e/o a distribuzione localizzata sulle Alpi. Presenza di invertebrati dell'allegato II che indicano buona naturalità delle acque correnti.
