Other Site Characteristics

Amena conca volta a solatio situata in destra Adige a monte degli abitati di Nomi e di Savignano. Il substrato è completamente calcareo. Presenta tipica vegetazione dell'orizzonte submontano: prati aridi, boschi termofili, cui si aggiungono due piccole zone umide. Habitat 6210 prioritario (stupenda fioritura di orchidee) con copertura del 23,76% dei Sito.

4.2 Quality and importance

Area assai interessante dal punto di vista floristico: vi si trovano numerose specie termofile assai rare in Trentino, cui si accompagna una florula paludicola degna di nota (ad es. l'unica stazione nota in regione di Plantago altissima). Si tratta di un biotopo di vitale importanza per la riproduzione di molte specie di anfibi e rettili.
