Other Site Characteristics

Parte più elevata (dal limite del bosco fino alla fascia alpina) della catena del Lagorai tra Passo Manghen e Cima Cece, costituita da un susseguirsi di crinali e vette, con vasti ambienti rupestri e praterie d'altitudine. Il substrato è completamente porfirico. Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE: Caricetalia curvulae 20%, Caricion fuscae (1%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Ambiente ancora pressoché intatto ad elevata naturalità. Sono presenti notevoli rarità floristiche. Il sito è di rilevante interesse nazionale e/o provinciale per la presenza e la riproduzione di specie animali in via di estinzione, importanti relitti glaciali, esclusive e/o tipiche delle Alpi. Presenza di invertebrati, anche prioritari, compresi nell'allegato II, indicatori di boschi con elevato grado di naturalità.
