Other Site Characteristics

Versante della fascia collinare su substrato siliceo, con alcuni valloni freschi e presenza di ambienti semirupestri aridi. La vegetazione dominante è costituita dal bosco di caducifoglie in cui predominano le specie acidofile (cerro, rovere, castagno). Sono presenti habitat di particolare interesse non compresi nell'all.I della direttiva 92/43/CEE: bosco dI Cerro con Erica arborea (15%); bosco di Quercus petraea (20%).

4.2 Quality and importance

Significativo esempio di penetrazione di vegetazione e flora termofila (insubrica), tra cui spiccano alcuni elementi di notevole significato fitogeografico (ad es. Erica arborea).
