Lembo residuo di bosco planiziale a Quercus sp. e bosco ripariale del fiume Montone, alternato a prati incolti, seminativi e frutteti. L'habitat 6210 è da considerarsi prioritario.

Nidificazione di Sylvia nisoria e Riparia riparia.Abbondanti le popolazioni di Chondrostoma genei, Leuciscus souffia, Barbus plebejus e Barbus meridionalis del fiume Montone.
