Area di elevato pregio paesaggistico, con numerose testimonianze geomorfologiche della glaciazione Wurmiana e numerose tipologie di carsismo superficiale.

4.2 Quality and importance

Il biotopo presenta un contingente floristico di grande interesse fitogeografico con una elevata presenza di specie endemiche e di specie rare fra cui spicca l'endemismo ristretto Centaurea montis-borlae. Presenza fra i Lepidotteri, della Callimorpha quadripunctaria (nec quadripunctata!) e di alcune specie minacciate e localizzate.
