Fascia sommitale su arenarie con morfologia assai aspra dei versanti.

4.2 Quality and importance

Popolazioni isolate di specie alpine e boreali, presenza di habitat al loro limite meridionale. Avifauna tipica delle praterie sommitali appenniniche. Da segnalare, fra i Mammiferi la Presenza del Canis lupus. Presenza di invertebrati rari e endemici.
