Rilievo caratterizzato da una morfologia accidentata, di notevole pregio paseaggistico, con affioramenti di diabase.

4.2 Quality and importance

Presenza di cespugliati a Genista radiata e Amelanchier ovalis, estremamente rari a livello regionale, a mosaico con praterie secondarie, che ospitano specie ornitiche rare e minacciate. Limitate estenzioni di formazioni forestali con aceri e tiglio su pendici rocciose. Presenza del Pecchiaiolo, nidificante nei boschi, e del Canis lupus, legato alle cospicue popolazioni di ungulati. Presenza di invertebrati localizzati.
