Rilievo calcareo, oggi in gran parte coperto da rimboschimenti risalenti all'ultimo secolo, conserva alcune aree con vegetazione naturale.

4.2 Quality and importance

Sito di importanza paesaggistica e ricreatica, Le residue aree aperte rivestono una certa importanza per la nidificazione e lo svernamento di specie ornitiche minacciate. Presenza, fra gli Anfibi, della Salamandrina terdigitata e tra gli invertebrati di specie endemiche, oltre la Callimorpha quadripunctaria (nec quadripunctata!).
