Other Site Characteristics

Area collinare, costituita in gran parte da substrati arenacei, compresa fra la pianura del F. Pecora e quella del F. Alma.

4.2 Quality and importance

Complesso di notevole naturalità costituito da estese aree forestali, a prevalenza di forteti ma anche con boschi di caducifoglie e castagneti da frutto, con alcune zone aperte (pascoli e seminativi estensivi). Fauna non ben studiata, comunque caratterizzata dalla presenza di alcune specie di notevole importanza (Circaetus gallicus) Fra gli invertebrati è presente il Lepidottero Callimorpha quadripuntaria (nec quadripunctata!).
