Other Site Characteristics

Falesia marnoso-arenacea con stadi dinamici diversi: nelle zone di distacco recente della frana si rinviene l'associazione Dauco-Tussilaginetum, nelle altre aree formazioni dominate dalla piccola canna Arundo pliniana (Arundinetum plinianae). Nei settori più stabili si rinvengono arbusteti a Spartium junceum e lembi di bosco a Quercus pubescens e Ostrya carpinifolia. Habitat da aggiungere rispetto all'allegato I della direttiva 92/43 - CEE: - Arbusteti submediterranei (Cytision sessilifolii); - Boschi submontani centro e nord appenninici di Carpino nero (Laburno-Ostryon); Ultimo tratto di costa sabbiosa interessato da una vegetazione psammofila ancora ben strutturata per il lungo tratto compreso tra Ancona e Pesaro. Habitat da aggiungere rispetto all'allegato I della direttiva 92/43 - CEE: - dune embrionali mediterranee; - dune mobili mediterranee. - Formazioni ad Arundo pliniana (Arundinetum plinianae). L'habitat 6210 è da considerarsi prioritario.

4.2 Quality and importance

Specie localmente poco comuni o rare. Il sito risulta particolarmente importante per lo svernamento degli uccelli acquatici e marini (Smego minore, Cormorano) e per la migrazione di rapaci (Falco pescatore) e delle Cicogne (Cicogna nera).
