Sabbie variamente cementate, limi ed argille con interacalazioni di ghiaie e conglomerati; depositi alluvionali di sabbie e ghiaie con limi ed argille. Presenza della "boscaglia mista termofila ad impronta orientale".

4.2 Quality and importance

Sito di importanza per la presenza di specie minacciate, vulnerabili e rare per il Lazio o indicatrici di un buono stato degli habitat presenti. Area di estremo interesse ornitologico, in particolare per lo svernamento e la nidificazione di avifauna acquatica, con la presenza di una comunità ittica diversificata.
