Other Site Characteristics

Isole di origine vulcanica con evidenti fenomeni di erosione marina (falesie in arretramento) con suoli di esiguo spessore e scarsa capacità di ritenzione idrica.

4.2 Quality and importance

Ambiente insulare di particolare rilievo per la presenza di uccelli marini nidificanti (unico sito del Lazio): Calonectris diomedea, Puffinus puffinus, Phalacrocorax aristotelis. Presenza di rettili (Caretta caretta). Flora insulare rara o rarissima per il Lazio.
