Other Site Characteristics

Site includes island Moricsala covered mainly with broad-leaved forests and part of the freshwater lake Usma Lake.

4.2 Quality and importance

Qualifying features are Sub-atlantic and medio-European oak forests (9160), Fennoscandian natural old broadleaved forests (9020*) and Natural eutrophic lakes (3150). Main qualifying species are Dicranum viride, Cucujus cinnaberinus and Osmoderma emerita. Hosts large number of nationally rare plant species.
