Other Site Characteristics

Site includes marine area, dune habitats and wooded dunes along the Baltic Sea in the SW of Latvia.

4.2 Quality and importance

Qualifying features are Embryonic shifting dunes (2110), Shifting dunes along the shoreline with Ammophila arenaria (2120) and Wooded dunes of the Atlantic, Continental and Boreal region (2180). Qualifying species is Linaria loeselii. No Annex I bird species were recorded during a single visit (May 16, 2002).
