Other Site Characteristics

Site consists of three parts located along Lisina River where mixed oak, ash and aspen forests dominate. Occasionally spruce in admixture is found. D - Red Data Book of Latvia, indicator species of Woodland Key Habitats;

4.2 Quality and importance

Main qualifying features are Riparian mixed forests of Quercus robur, Ulmus laevis and Ulmus minor, Fraxinus excelsior or Fraxinus angustifolia along the great rivers (91F0) and Dicranum viride. Important area for tree roosting bats like Nyctalus noctula.
