Other Site Characteristics

Site includes raised bog of eastern type with Chamaedaphne calyculata (Aklais Mire) with dystrophic lakes surrounded by pine dominated bog woodland. In the periphery also dry pine and mixed forests are found.

4.2 Quality and importance

Main qualifying features are: Active raised bogs (7110*), Bog woodland (91D0*) , Dystrophic lakes (3160). Many of bog woodland compartments classify as Woodland Key Habitats.Qualifying species is Agrimonia pilosa.
