Other Site Characteristics

Deciduous forest area (Fraxinus excelsior, Alnus glutinosa, Betula pubescnes, Quercus robur) on carbonate rich soils found within intensive agricultural landscape. D - Red Data Book of Latvia and indicator species of Woodland Key habitats.

4.2 Quality and importance

Main qualifying feature is Fennoscandian hemiboreal natural old broad-leaved deciduous (9020*). Hosts large number of nationally rare species.
