  • Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics

An area of wet heathland and fens, intersected by streams and surrounded xxx by woodland, situated to the east of the city of Tilburg.

4.2 Quality and importance

The following data refer to the period 1993-1997 (data in paragraph 3.2a-b refer te period 1999-2003). This site does not qualify under ornithological criteria of IBA2000 (site included as designated SPA under criterion C7). Until 1989 the site held a small population of Tetrao tetrix (and was xxx considered fifth in order of national importance for this species, together with two other nearby sites). Eight other species, listed in Annex I, breed at the site although not in appreciable numbers. The fens in the area are used for roosting by wintering geese, but counts not available.
