Other Site Characteristics

The site covers the channels and flood-plain of two small rivers, and contains wet meadows, water-fringe vegetation and pools. The site is adjacent to SPA Zwarte Meer (NL9802031) and SPA De Wieden (NL3009004). It is situated to the north of the city of Zwolle.

4.2 Quality and importance

The following data refer to the period 1993-1997 (data in paragraph 3.2a-b refer te period 1999-2003). Species meeting the 1% threshold (non-breeding): Bewick`s Swan Cygnus bewickii (2,6%), White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons (1,2%). xxx Site largely overlaps with IBA090 (IBA2000)
