Other Site Characteristics

Nas zonas de natureza supra-mediterrânica dominam os bosques de carvalho-negral (Quercus pyrenaica - Quercenion pyrenaicae), enquanto que em áreas caracteristicamente meso- e termo-mediterrânicas surgem pequenos núcleos de azinhal (Quercus rotundifolia - Paeonioquercenion rotundifoliae) e sobreiral (Quercus suber - Quercenion broteroi). Ao longo das linhas de água ocorrem formações ripícolas pertencentes às classes Salicetea-purpureae e Querco-fageteae.

4.2 Quality and importance

Grande diversidade florística com núcleos de matagais mediterrânicos ainda muito bem preservados, possibilitando a ocorrência de um leque variado de espécies de aves.
