Other Site Characteristics

Relieful sitului de importanta comunitara Coasta Rupturile Tanacu este compus dintr-un versant abrupt cu o inclinare ce trece de 35◦. Substratul geologic este de vârstă sarmatiană, alcătuit dintr-un complex de marne, nisipuri fine, argiloase cu numeroase crotovine la suprafață și cochilii de lamelibranchiate. Solul este de tip cernoziomului de panta aflat in diferite stadiide levigare si erodare, cu treceri pana la sol lutos. Starea de conservare a bunurilor naturale care constituie obiectivul protectiei si conservarii este relativ buna dar regimul precipitațiilor, imbinat cu inclinarea terenului si în urma pășunatului, au favorizat alunecări de mari proporții, încât terenul este scos din folosință. În compozitia floristica a acestui sit se intalnesc o populație viguroasă de Caragana frutex (tufă lemnoasă), element continental irano-turanian, cu excepțional rol fitogeografic, Ephedra distachya (circel), Adonis hybrida (ruscuța), Allium moschatum, A. tauricum (ai de stepă), Bellevalia sarmatica, Onobrychis arenaria (sparceta), Hyacinthella leucophaea (zambila), Cirsium serrulatum (pălămida), s.a. Această bogăție floristică, cât și semnificația fitogeografica a geofondului conferă stațiunii de la Tanacu un caracter de unicitate, de tezaur informațional de mare valoare stiințifică. ;

4.2 Quality and importance

Rezervatia botanica Coasta Rupturile Tanacu se afla pe un versant abrupt, al carui panta trece de 35%, cu o vegetatie discontinua edificata de Batriochloa ischaemum (barbisoara). In aceste conditii s-a pastrat o populatie viguroasa de Caragana frutex (tufa lemnoasa), element continental, care contribuie prin sistemul radicular extensiv dezvoltat, la fixarea terenului si stoparea eroziunii solului. In aceasta rezervatie s-au identificat unele specii rare pentru flora tarii noastre ca de exemplu: Ephedra distachya, Bellevaria sarmatica, Onobrychis arenaria, etc.;
