  • PF: for the habitat types that can have a non-priority as well as a priority form (6210, 7130, 9430) enter "X" in the column PF to indicate the priority form.
  • NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Cover: decimal values can be entered
  • Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

  • S: in case that the data on species are sensitive and therefore have to be blocked for any public access enter: yes
  • NP: in case that a species is no longer present in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Type: p = permanent, r = reproducing, c = concentration, w = wintering (for plant and non-migratory species use permanent)
  • Unit: i = individuals, p = pairs or other units according to the Standard list of population units and codes in accordance with Article 12 and 17 reporting (see reference portal)
  • Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics

About 5 km north of Motala city rises the big scree of Håleberget 125 m above the valley of Säter. Most of the site is classified as a Key Biotop of woodlands. There are a large number of threatened lichens and mosses found in the site. Besides the high scree is there also humid and zippering waterparts with a rich herb flora and a bushlayer of Coryllus avellana. In the bottom of the valley is a marsh with alder and birch. There is also a small brook, the have made a ravine in the gravel-material at the scree. Besides this ravine, there is also springwater pushing up from the ground. These springs have a rich flora. The biggest part of the wood is dominated by spruce, Picea abies, but there is a large amount of Tilia cordata, Betula pendula and Populus tremule. The trees growths in several layers which indicates an old forest. There is a large amount of dead and decaying trees and trunks in the site. This site is about 50 hectares and the big numbers of old trees, various tree-composition, a large amount of dead wood and the large number of unusual and threatened species makes this site very valuable nature area.

4.2 Quality and importance

Big scree with nature- as well as geological values. There is no place like this site in Motala county. Most parts of the site are Key Biotop, after the inventory by the Skogsvårdsstyrelsen in Eastern Götaland. The large amount of lichens and mosses and the fact that this site have been covered with forest for a long time, makes this site a rare and seldom seen nature area now a days. The site is also important to the birdlife in the area.
