I myrens östra kant finns ett intressant dräneringstråk utformat som ett terrasserat gölsystem från mosseplanet ned mot Nissan.

4.2 Quality and importance

Gagnaryds mosse är en myr vars naturvärden är storlek, orördhet, mångformighet och representativitet. Myren har en välutvecklad hydrotopografi och även morfologiska säregenheter som dubbel kantskog. Gagnaryds mosse är ett mycket värdefullt myrkomplex i många hänseenden. Inom objektet finns högt värderade, väl utbildade excentriska mossar. Mossarna har en särgene och mångformig hydrotopografi med gölsystem, dråg och kantskog. I nordväst finns även ett soligent fastmattekärr med rikkärrsvegetation. I kärret växer gräsull, snip, loppstarr och dytåg. I myrens östra kant finns ett intressant dräneringstråk utformat som ett terrasserat gölsystem från mosseplanet ned mot Nissan. Området har även höga ornitologiska värden med häckning av flera våtmarksberoende arter.
