Other Site Characteristics

A both strongly hilly and flat landscape dominated by broad-leaved deciduous woodland. Moving water in the steep slopes have produced a species rich and luxuriant vegetation.

4.2 Quality and importance

The area was in prehistoric time an open cultivated landscape. There are many barrows and ancient arables. In historic time the slopes have been grazed outland, that in the past, hundred years have become covered with woodland.
