Other Site Characteristics

Rösjö mosse är ett stort och till största delen orört mosseområde med betydande arealer öppna mossar och kärr. Området har ett rikt fågelliv med en rad häckande våtmarksarter och ett antal rovfågelarter liksom goda bestånd av orre. Mossen ligger i en glesbefolkad trakt och miljön är mycket ostörd. Närheten till Horborgasjön förstärker mossen betydelse som fågellokal. Mårbysjön är en sänkt sjö vars stränder efter sänkningen på 1800-talet utvecklat karaktär av extremrikkärr och rikkärr. I detta område förekommer en rad krävande kärlväxter och rikligt med orkidéer.
