Other Site Characteristics

The site is varying from dry, bouldered hills to fresh, fertile moraines, sedimentary areas, bogs and marshes. The forests in the site are mixed, dominated by deciduous trees as well as coniferous trees. The central and eastern part if the site is occupied by an Alnus glutinosa dominated forest with very rich flora probably favoured by calcareous water from underlaying shell rich gravel.

The site has a great biological diversity and a rich flora with some nationally redlisted and other rare herbs.
