Other Site Characteristics

The site constitutes of a north slope with high productivity. The forest consists formly of spruce. You can find pine occasionally. Coarse aspen, willow, birch and grey alder occure. Is is possible to find old windthrows, more in some parts. There has not been any inventory concerning species in this forest.

4.2 Quality and importance

The forest has an excellent structure and has excellent prospects for the future. Oldgrowth western taiga is sparse in the region. It is necessary to include even small areas to be able to make up a covering network of western taiga.
