Other Site Characteristics

The site is formed by the borrow pits out of the Latorica River inundation area. Geological basement consits of clays and sands; solis are Stagni-Haplic Luvisols.

4.2 Quality and importance

Maintenance of the unique occurrence of Marsilea quadrifolia in the borrow pits out of the inundation area. Accompanying species: Eleocharis acicularis, Cyperus fuschus and Filaginella uliginosa.
