Other Site Characteristics

The site is located in the western part of the Borská nížina Lowland, Dolnomoravská niva Alluvium. According to the Slovak phytogeographical categorization, it belongs to the area of the Pannonian flora (area Pannonicum, part Eupannonicum, region Záhorská nížina Lowland). There is also the habitat of national importance present: large sedge and Phalaris arundinacea beds. The habitat is important for the occurrence of rare and endangered species in the site.

4.2 Quality and importance

Unique example of the rich in species grasslands – lowland and submontane hay meadows – with a presence of several rare and endangered species within the Záhorie region.
