Other Site Characteristics

The site ss located in the part of the byklippen flysch that fetures the increased proportion of the carbonic rocks. The whole site is afforested.

4.2 Quality and importance

The site is a part of the Biele Karpaty PLA. Aim of the protection is to preserve the rich thermophilous cornel-oak and beech stands with the occurrence of several nationally protected species: Orchis purpurea, Orchis pallens, Limodorum abortivum, rare invertebrates Zacheus crista, Egenus convexus and other thermophilous species.
