Other Site Characteristics

The site is situated in slovak-moravian Carpathians, whole Biele Karpaty and part Javorinská hornatina. From geotectonic point of view is it Outer Carpathians - Flysch belt. Subsil are sandstones and mudstones. West part of the site cover limestone (tuff) terrace. Meadow and spring area with valued community of mollusc and rare plant species.

4.2 Quality and importance

The site is located in Nature Monument Borotová. It is meadow in forest parcel and surrounded by forest. Maintainance of the object of protection (mesophil meadow and spring areawith Dactylorhiza majalis, D. sambucina, Salix rosmarinifolia) depends on periodically mowing.
