Other Site Characteristics

Tratti di corsi d'acqua di pianura a dinamica naturale, caratterizzati da sistemi di popolamenti fluviali spesso compenetrati, tipici di acque lente e rappresentati da vegetazione sommersa del Potamogeton pectinati, da lamineti (Myriophyllo-Nupharetum e Lemnetea minoris) da cariceti e canneti (Magnocaricion elatae e Phragmition). Sono inoltre presenti boschetti riparii inquadrabili nei Salicetea purpureae e Alnetea glutinosae. Le anse abbandonate dal corso d'acqua principale sono caratterizzate dalla presenza di canneti, cariceti, vegetazione a idrofite sommerse e natanti e da boschetti ripariali. L'area è di fondamentale importanza per alcune specie di ciconiformi (Nyctycorax nyctycorax, Ardeola ralloides, Ixobrychus minutus) e per i rallidi (Porzana sp. pl., Rallus aquaticus) e quale zona di corrente migratoria N-S.

Si tratta di un sistema di popolamenti fluviali compenetrati, tipici di acque lente. Importante la presenza di entomofauna palustre relitta. Importante area per lo svernamento di Passeriformi silvicoli e paludicoli e per Rapaci diurni.
