Other Site Characteristics

Area di espansione fluviale costituita da alluvioni grossolane colonizzate in parte da vegetazione pioniera, da prati xerofili su terrazzi particolarmente consolidati, boschetti ripariali e macchie con elementi di vegetazione planiziale e, nelle depressioni, canneti. Tratto di fiume soggeto a frequenti cambiamenti dovuti al regime del fiume. L'habitat 6210 è da considerarsi prioritario.

4.2 Quality and importance

Presenza di saliceti riferibili al Salicion eleagni (Salicetum eleagni) e al Salicion albae a cui sono frequentemente associati, nelle zone a substrato maggiormente stabilizzato, arbusti eliofili ed elementi dei Querco-Fagetea. Sono presenti tratti di canneto ad elofite (Phragmition) e praterie xeriche su substrati ghiaiosi e sabbiosi, altrove infrequenti, riferibili ai Festuco-Brometea con ingressione di specie mesofile dove il terreno è meno drenato. Il sito riveste anche importanza per l'avifauna e la fauna interstiziale.
