Other Site Characteristics

Ambiente fluviale con greti, steppe fluviali, saliceti ripariali e boschi igrofili estesi e ben conservati. Tratti di Salicetum albae e di cenosi di Ranuncolion fluitantis. Presenza di ampi specchi lacustri con canneti e altra vegetazione ripariale. Accentuati fenomeni di dealpinismo.

4.2 Quality and importance

Complesso di habitat importante per specie ornitiche rare e localizzate, luogo di nidificazione e svernamento di numerose specie di uccelli. Ricca fauna di mammiferi, anfibi, rettili e pesci. Presenza di comunità vegetali rare o eterotopiche. Accentuati fenomeni di dealpinismo floristico. La presenza di alberi di grosse dimensioni favorisce l'insediamento di numerosi chirotteri forestali.
