Die Streuwiese am Salzweg liegt im Vorfeld des Untersberges in der Gemeinde Grödig-Fürstenbrunn. Sie ist von Wald umgeben und beherbergt neben der Sumpfgladiole auch seltene Arten wie Lungenenzian (Gentiana pneumonante), Feuchtwiesen-Pracht-Nelke (Dianthus s. superbus), Färberscharte (Serratula tictoria), Alant-Aschenkraut (Senecio helenitis), Traunsteiner-Fingerknabenkraut (Dactylorhiza traunsteineri) und andere Orchideenarten

4.2 Quality and importance

Das Gebiet besteht aus einer sehr gut erhaltenen und äußerst artenreichen Streuwiese, die zum Teil dem LRT 6410, zum Teil(neuere Erkenntnisse 2019) dem LRT 7230 zuzuornen ist. Sie beherbergt eines der bedeutendsten Vorkommen der Sumpfgladiolein Salzburg (mit bis zu etwa 300 blühenden Individuen in manchen Jahren). Nur an 4 Salzburger Standorten konnten ab 2007 mehr als 100 blühende Individuen beobachtet werden. Die ansehnliche Population konnte sich v.a. aufgrund der regelmäßigen traditionellen Streumahd halten.
