o Site composé de petites entités forestières réparties sur une ligne N-S entre Leers-et-Fosteau et Thuin (Bois des Agaises, Bois Lyon, Bois de Biercée, Bois de l'Ecluse) ;o Comprend aussi le site de La Buissière, installée au confluent de la Hantes et de la Sambre, à l'ouest de Thuin, un des derniers témoins des nombreux marécages qui se succédaient jadis dans la Haute-Sambre.
