Ce site est constitué de la vallée du Wayot, du Thier du Gibet, de la Réserve Naturelle du Rocheux et des coteaux calcaires de Mont.

4.2 Quality and importance

Il s'agit d'un site remarquable par les milieux ouverts d'intérêt communautaire qu'il englobe. On y retrouve ainsi des prairies de fauche peu intensives et des pelouses calcaires de grand intérêt. Mais le site présente une autre singularité en abritant des pelouses et landes calaminaires de bonne qualité, des habitats particulièrement rares en Wallonie. Il convient également de mentionner la présence de petite zones de forêts indigènes du métaclimax des hêtraies calcicole et neutrophile sur les coteaux boisés. Le site contribue à l'habitat du milan royal et de l'écaille chinée. Enfin, le site est favorable à l'habitat de la pie grièche.
