Other Site Characteristics

o Site presque totalement inclus dans la Réserve Naturelle Domaniale des Hautes-Fagnes, formant une entité remarquable au NE du domaine fagnard, de part et d'autre de la route Eupen-Montjoie.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Un des très rares sites de Belgique où se reproduit encore le Tétras lyre (Tetrao tetrix) ; o Grande importance des zones boisées pour le Pic cendré ;o Présence régulière du Torcol fourmilier (Jynx torquata) et de la Pie-grièche grise dans les landes boisées ;o Présence de la Chouette de Tengmalm dans les zones résineuses et de la Gélinotte (observations récentes), à la lisière des massifs forestiers, dans les zones buissonnantes.
