Other Site Characteristics

Le site des sources de la Warchenne comprend une mosaïque de milieux variés, ouverts et forestiers, en fond de vallée, situés au-dessus de 500 m d'altitude.

4.2 Quality and importance

Sa première caractéristique remarquable se situe en les prés maigres de fauche (6510), habitat d'intérêt communautaire le plus représenté en ce site. Bordant les eaux de la Warchenne (3260), des zones de mégaphorbiaies à reine des prés (6430) forment des cordons rivulaires. Les milieux ouverts d'intérêt communautaire comprennent également des landes humides (4010) abritant de la bruyère quaternée et de la gentiane pneumonanthe.
