Other Site Characteristics

Le site des affluents de l'Our entre Setz et Schönberg comprend un ensemble varié de petites vallées ardennaises regroupant des milieux ouverts essentiellement alluviaux et des milieux forestiers.

4.2 Quality and importance

Les vallées du site s'articulent autour des cours d'eau (3260) suivants : Grossweberbach, Kleinweberbach, Mackenbach, Treisbach, Eiterbach. Le chabot, la lamproie de Planer y trouvent leur habitat. Les fonds de vallée présentent des biotopes variés, comme des bas-marais, des mégaphorbiaies (6430), des prairies humides, des prairies maigres de fauche (6510), des nardaies (6230*), des petites zones de landes sèches (4030). Ces habitats accueillent le cuivré de la bistorte et la pie-grièche écorcheur.Sur les versants, des blocs de hêtraies à luzule blanchâtre (9110) surplombent certaines de ces vallées, fournissant un habitat pour le pic noir. Le pic mar, quant à lui, profite des chênaies. Les autres habitats forestiers se situent dans les milieux alluviaux et relèvent de la chênaie-charmaie acidocline (9160) et de la chênaie-boulaie à molinie (9190). Pour finaliser ce tableau forestier, il faut encore noter la présence d'aulnaies rivulaires le long des berges des cours d'eau (91E0*), habitat prioritaire.
