o Site correspondant au lit majeur de l'Ourthe moyenne dans une portion de son trajet famennien mais englobant aussi des versants forestiers et des pelouses sur substrats calcaires ou schisteux.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Présence d'une mosaïque de milieux typiques de la Famenne : chênaies pédonculées en place, prairies inondables, pelouses sur schistes et sur calcaire, érablières...o Site d'intérêt majeur pour la faune et la flore, du fait de la physionomie encore très naturelle de la rivière (divagation libre du cours d'eau, berges naturelles, bras morts...) ; o Site abritant une part essentielle des populations de la libellule Oxygastra curtisii.
