Other Site Characteristics

o Ensemble de milieux tourbeux remarquables séparés artificiellement du reste des milieux fangeux du Plateau des Tailles par le tracé de l'autoroute ; o Le site comprend notamment les Fagnes du Grand Passage, de Chabrehez, des Mochettes, du Vigneron ainsi que les têtes de source du Ruisseau du Martin Moulin et le Bois Saint Jean.

4.2 Quality and importance

o Présence d'une zone de tourbière haute active en excellent état de conservation (Grand Passage) et d'une autre zone partiellement dégradée (Fange des Mochettes) ; o Présence de landes tourbeuses et de pessières sur sols tourbeux ou gleyfiés mais encore susceptibles de restauration correspondant à divers habitats typiques ; o Présence d'orchidées et de papillons diurnes protégés.
