Other Site Characteristics

o Site comprenant à la fois des entités forestières du district ardennais (schistes et phyllades du Siegenien inférieur) prolongeant le massif de la Forêt d'Anlier et des milieux ouverts : prairies de fauche et mégaphorbiaies (au bord de l'Attert, du Ruisseau de metzert...).

4.2 Quality and importance

o Présence d'étroites bandes alluviales formées de mégaphorbiaies et de zones de recolonisation par les saules, d'anciennes prairies de fauches de grand intérêt appartenant à l'Alchemillo-Trisetum ; o Présence de la hêtraie du Luzulo-Fagetum et de lambeaux d'anciennes prairies de fauche ardennaise de grand intérêt appartenant à l'Alchemillo-Trisetum ;o Site de très grande valeur pour beaucoup d'espèces forestières.
