Other Site Characteristics

o Site essentiellement forestier situé au nord de Meix-devant-Virton mais englobant aussi des zones marécageuses : vallées des Ruisseaux de Lahage, de la Lanframba, marais de Meix-devant-Virton-La Cawette, le Bois de Lavau-Choutière-Gore Aubrion .

4.2 Quality and importance

o Présence de vastes zones en fond de vallée (Chevratte) de bas-marais, magnocariçaies, roselières et prairies humides, bordées par des fragments de prairies à molinie ;o Présence de vastes zones en fond de vallée (Chevratte) de bas-marais, magnocariçaies, roselières et prairies humides, bordées par des fragments de prairies à molinie ;o Présence de vastes prairies mésophiles extensives particulièrement riches en espèces végétales (orchidées...) ; o Grand intérêt entomologique (papillons rares et menacés, Orthoptères, Coléoptères) ; o Présence de la libellule Coenagrion mercuriale; présence toute proche du Lézard des souches (Lacerta agilis).
