4.2 Quality and importance

Ce site est installé sur des schistes, occupés par des chênaies famenniennes typiques, il comprend également le complexe des "mares de Feschaux", remarquable pour sa population de triton crêté et ses prairies de fauche. Présence d'importantes populations de pie-grièche écorcheur, du pic mar dans les bois de Baronville. Site d'intérêt pour plusieurs orchidées.
