Other Site Characteristics

The site is a big forest complex on the hills above Danube. The dominant communities are the silver lime forests, but there are still other xerothermic forests, small pastures and meadows in the valleys.

4.2 Quality and importance

One of the most representative forest dominated by communities of silver lime (91Z0) in Bulgaria. The quality of the forest is very good. There are many forest plant and animal species within its floristi composition.
