An extremely deforestated area, cut by dense network of deep gorges and wide pastures and scrub fields. There are rocks along the river.

The site is located along an important migratory route and is asuitable habitat for raptor birds.The species enlisted as 'Other species-D' are included in Annex III of the Bulgarian Biodiversity Act as protected species.
