Low mountain, Fagus- and Quercus forests and uphill pastures

4.2 Quality and importance

The site is important habitat for the bear and provides its existence in Vitosha Mountains as well. Well preserved habitats 9130 and 9170. The site protects most of the Verila Mountain that links Vitosha and Rila Mountains. It is mostly covered by broad-leaf forests.
