Other Site Characteristics

Poloha: Výrazný vrch (437 m n. m.) 1 km severně od obce Libčeves. Ekotop: Geologie: Vrch je tvořen leucitickým nefelinitem a olivinickým bazanitem a je obklopen slínovci březenského a teplického souvrství křídy. Geomorfologie: Dominanta severního okraje Libčeveské kotliny. Reliéf: Kuželovitý suk tvaru krátkého hřbetu. Na vrcholu a ve stř. a horních částech příkrých svahů se nacházejí četné kryogenně modelované skalky ve sloupovitě odloučené hornině, s mrazovými trhlinami. V dolních částech svahu jsou balvanové haldy a suťový plášť porušený sesuvy. Svahy jsou porostlé stepní vegetací. Pedologie: Půdní pokryv zastupují eutrofní variety modálních rankerů a kambizemí, obklopené modálními pararendzinami. Krajinná charakteristika: Výrazný kuželovitý suk, nápadně vystupující z Libčeveské kotliny. Biota: Bezlesý vrch s travinnými společenstvy stepního charakteru. Křovinné formace po celém obvodu a lesní porost na východním úbočí kopce (K3 vysoké mezo- a xerofilní křoviny, X9B lesní kultury s nepůvodními listnatými dřevinami).
